Perks of Living on Kiawah Island: The Club

Golf courses boasting world-class views and soft, white sand beaches are synonymous with Kiawah Island. But those aren’t the only perks of living on Kiawah Island. The Kiawah Island Club is a major draw for potential property owners as a result of its top-notch amenities, services, and events. Each and every one of these offerings are tailored to Club Members, providing an enhanced Island experience. A Club Membership is not available with all properties but if a Membership is what your heart is set on, our Sales Experts can help you find the perfect home or homesite that does qualify.

Explore a handful of the Club’s most popular amenities for a glimpse of what it’s like to be a Member living on Kiawah Island.

The Sporting Club

Imagine acre after acre — 800 of them to be exact — of private land for shooting and target practice. If this is something you are into, you have found the right place here at the Club. This amenity allows members to hone their aiming skills at clay, skeet, trap, and five stand shooting. Guided quail hunts with trained gun dogs can also be arranged. A 3D archery challenge offers a taste of the action for first-time shooters who want to try it out.

The Sports Pavilion

The Sports Pavilion is a state-of-the-art wellness facility in the Cassique community, measuring just under 9,000 square feet of space to pursue your health and fitness goals. From high end exercise equipment to certified personal trainers, everything you need is in one central location. Many Members enjoy taking regular yoga and water aerobics classes, among many other options to choose from. Those interested in a bit of healthy competition can try racquet sports on one of the har-tru tennis courts on the terraces.

The Clubhouse at Cassique

Located halfway between a links-style golf course and vast marshland, the Cassique Clubhouse is situated between the two. Set against the backdrop of Kiawah’s marshes, it boasts architectural style reminiscent of an English manor. Inside there’s an elegant pub that offers lighter options, such as seafood appetizers and refreshing cocktails. Voysey’s, the grand estate’s main restaurant, features exquisite seafood dishes inspired by consulting Chef Tom Colicchio. Step outside to play the Cassique Course, a private Members-only course with terrain similar to that of its Scottish predecessor.

The Beach Club

A favorite among Members with children, The Beach Club is the Island’s ideal place to spend a sunny summer day together. With three large swimming pools mere steps from the ocean, there’s so much fun to be had here! Head inside and taste the delicious creations of consulting Chef Mike Lata and Executive Chef Geoffrey Deconinck at the B-Liner

Sasanqua Spa

The Sasanqua Spa will become your go-to for some much deserved rest and relaxation when living on Kiawah Island. Clodagh, the architect behind the entrancing design, hails from Ireland. From organic seaward scrubs to Irish mud wraps, Members benefit from each of the services provided here.

Golf Learning Center

If private lessons and seven courses all on one Island aren’t enough for you, the Golf Learning Center is here to improve your skills even further. This training system features the latest technology when it comes to expert golf instruction. Three bays dedicated to swing analysis, short game, and club fitting ensure you’ll get the most out of your game. Use the Science and Motion PuttLab to improve your putting skills and reduce your score in no time.

The Boathouse at Cassique

You can ride the tides from the beautiful boathouse located in Cassique. With kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards available, choose your favorite and head out on the water. From the Kiawah River, paddle north along the main channel that separates the Island from the mainland, or head the other way to reach the estuary that spills out into the Atlantic. Several coves and waterways will turn up along the way, offering even more scenic views of the landscape.

GoKiawah and GoKids

Tailored experiences are coordinated specifically for Club Members and their children through GoKiawah and GoKids. Meet up with fellow Members and set out on a cocktail cruise or a group outing to Charleston while your kids get to enjoy various activities planned just for them. From toddlers to teens, they can sign up for golf lessons, off-island excursions, or “Teen Nights” at the Sports Pavilion.

Club Events

The Island is home to some of the hottest events around. An annual favorite, Rock The River features performances by high-profile artists and serves Lowcountry fare. Major holidays also offer the chance to celebrate in true Kiawah style, with the Independence Day Extravaganza, Easter weekend, Thanksgiving weekend, New Year’s Bash, and more. Not to mention the golf and tennis tournaments residents of all ages love to partake in as well.
