On a clear June day, surrounded by the lush maritime landscape of Kiawah’s West Beach, a momentous occasion unfolded–the official groundbreaking of Ocean Pines, Kiawah Island Real Estate’s newest luxury residential community. Hosted on the future site of the development, the event welcomed project partners, community leaders, and prospective owners to celebrate the beginning of what promises to be one of the most thoughtfully designed additions to the Island in recent memory.

The groundbreaking event underscored the collective expertise behind Ocean Pines. The design vision is led by Amanda Mole, Chief of Architecture and Design for Kiawah Partners, and Mark Permar, longtime Master Land Planner for the Island. Their collaborative efforts with LS3P, Thomas & Hutton, Hart Howerton Architects, and wertimer + cline for landscape architecture ensure a design-forward community that honors Kiawah’s unique natural character.
