The official groundbreaking on the terrain directly across from Freshfields Village in September announced the first phase of construction on MUSC Health Sea Islands Medical Pavilion. When completed, the 22,740-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will make world-class healthcare remarkably convenient for Island residents and future residents of Seafields at Kiawah Island 62+ Life Plan Community.

The Doctors Are In
Claiming an expanse of land donated by Kiawah Partners, the Island’s master residential developer, the MUSC Health Sea Islands Medical Pavilion will boast a team of board-certified emergency physicians and some of the nation’s top providers in primary and specialty care. Along with access to 24/7 life-saving medical care, the facility will offer:
- A free-standing Emergency Room with trauma rooms and fast-track triage
- Full CT scan and radiology services
- Full lab services
- State-of-the-art imaging and other technologies
- Convenient access to primary care and other outpatient services
- Telehealth pods and onsite diagnostic treatment
- Physical and occupational therapy treatment rooms
The MUSC Health Sea Islands Medical Pavilion will also provide enhanced access to both MUSC’s Primary Stroke Center and dedicated Chest Pain Center, along with a helipad service to transport patients to Charleston hospitals in minutes.
