Kiawah Island Club

GoKids

Today, “Go! Go! Go! Is the Status Quo

At Kiawah Island Club, we fully realize that there’s no such thing as a cookie-cutter kid. Island youth are as diverse in their tastes and passions as Island adults. But every Member’s child or grandchild shares one thing with all the others: Kiawah.

In providing the Club’s youngest Members year-round social engagement, along with day camps and clinics throughout the summer, GoKids has redefined Island life for kids aged 3 to 16. GoKids celebrates fitness, fun, and friendship across the Island—guaranteeing its eager participants that being offline is well worth their time.

Kid Zone

This innovative series entertains our junior Members, ages 5 to 12, during summer and holiday weekends. The Sports Pavilion transforms into a “Kids-Only Club” from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. with professional, energetic staff hosting every session and a local food truck serving dinner. From pool fun to field games, ping pong, dodgeball, and laser tag, a rotating canon of activities ensures that participants connect with friends—while parents reconnect with each other.

For Toddlers, Teens (And In-Betweens)

Growing up means growing out of and growing into things. Children’s interests and skillsets are ever-evolving, and with that in mind, GoKids programming reflects the bloom of new interests that sprout up at every stage of development.

Explore Island Life

Toddlers

The peewee putter. The pint-sized swimmer. The tennis tyke. The rowdy rascal. Our 3-to-5 year-old Members are raising their games early. The Club showcases a number of activities to inspire good gamesmanship and increase the skill levels of our tiniest sportsmen.

Day Camp

Club Members aged 5 to 8 hold status as “Pioneers,” a spirited, imaginative group that spends summer days in Island exploration, adventure, sporting games, and creative expression. Day camps run Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with Fridays reserved for off-island excursions.

Weekly Sessions

“Explorers” range from ages 9 to 12. A series of rotating, multiple-day programs engage the group with an array of activities each week. Children are presented with activities they’ve already expressed interest in as well as other pursuits designed to expand their tastes.

Teens

Teen Members are welcome to participate in various interest-specific programming each week. Programs are designed to introduce teens to new experiences as well as tap into ongoing interests.

“GoKids provides our youngest Club Members with opportunities to continue their favorite interest while on Island or tap into a completely new passion. So, in addition to traditional summer activities, we’ve broadened our range with things like Robo Battles, Junior Chef, Junior Hot Shots, and Art in Motion. Still, I think the greatest success of GoKids has been the friendships developed between our campers that endures year after year.”
