Kiawah in the Community

Who Are We?

We are Kiawah Island Club & Real Estate, a brokerage firm and private club staffed with employees who are passionate about helping those around them.

What Are We Doing in The Community?

We are here to help. Through a newly launched employee engagement program, all of our employees have chosen a specific section of the Johns Island community to bring their services to — and are here to lend a hand in a variety of areas.

We’d Be Happy to Help You with Any Number of Things, including:

  • Lawn mowing
  • Garden clean-up
  • Trash pick-up
  • Pick-up and delivery of groceries
  • Delivery of a meal to someone in need

Our services are free and our motivation is simply to lighten the load and brighten the day of our Johns Island neighbors.

This initial community outreach program will run through February but will be followed by more initiatives soon to come.

Our Latest Collaboration:
Our Lady of Mercy

Throughout July, the Kiawah In The Community team encouraged Club employees and Members to donate food items to our most recent initiative: a partnership with Our Lady of Mercy to distribute groceries to our neighbors in need.

Over 1,000 donations were then sorted by category and bagged. Then, on August 7, a total of 800 bags were distributed by Kiawah In The Community volunteers and Our Lady of Mercy staff to residents from Johns, James, and Wadmalaw Islands. Each recipient was given four bags of food (one each of: vegetables, fruits, grains, and proteins) as well as two packages of meat and a dental kit. By day’s end, 287 local families and individuals had been served.
