Michael came to the Lowcountry in 2006 to attend the College of Charleston. His love of architecture and the arts fueled degrees in Historic Preservation/Community Planning and Art History. Following graduation, he launched a photography company focusing on Lowcountry landscapes and, later, international locations, and soon opened an art gallery on Broad Street in Charleston’s Gallery Row.

During a visit to Kiawah in 2008 he was struck by the Island’s diverse and extraordinary beauty. “I knew I had found someplace special and that I never wanted to leave,” he says. Soon after, Michael joined the Kiawah Island Club as a tennis professional.

After 14 amazing years creating lifelong friendships on the court, he reinvested in his passion for architecture. “Joining the Kiawah Island Real Estate team is something I’ve dreamed of doing for some time now, and I couldn’t be more excited to help others discover the wonders the Island has to offer.”

Today, Michael enjoys keeping up with his golf, racquet sports, photography, and violin, while also exploring Kiawah and Charleston with his family. “There is nothing better than going out for an Island adventure and connecting so effortlessly with nature.”
