Our Team Marla Rea

A seasoned real estate professional, Marla began her real estate career more than 15 years ago, specializing in the vacation and second home markets in the Berkshires of New England and the scenic California coast of Carmel and Pebble Beach. Her diverse experience in two world-class locales has given Marla expertise in differing markets, architectural styles, and a broad clientele with a variety of goals and desires.

The result is that Marla is able to focus on what is most important to her clients—whether it’s a villa near the beach, a home large enough for family and friends to start building lifelong memories, or a lot where they’ll someday build a dream home.

Property sellers also benefit from Marla’s marketing and merchandising experience, along with her keen ability to envision properties from a buyer’s viewpoint. “Taking into account how your property will make the potential buyer feel is a crucial step in marketing a home,” she says. Having designed, built, and remodeled many of her own homes, Marla has a creative eye and can help buyers envision use of space and ideas for changes that fit their needs.

Marla first visited Kiawah 23 years ago during a family vacation and returned almost every year since. “I was hooked on the very first day,” she explains, and that made the decision to move to Kiawah an easy one.

Now a full time resident, Marla and her two labradors enjoy the diversity of the Island. “From miles of beach, marsh, river, and golf courses to the Lowcountry lifestyle of the coast, the arts, the gourmet restaurants, and the timeless architecture of Charleston next door, it’s like being on vacation every day.”
