The Sporting Club’s Brand New Offerings Hit the Bullseye

Since opening across 800 wooded acres on Johns Island, The Sporting Club has introduced countless Kiawah Island Club Members to the joys of clay shooting. A broad range of activities including sporting clay, skeet, trap, and five stand shooting connect friends and family daily across 10 stations set deep in the forest. And now, the addition of both a 10-station 3-D archery course and scheduled Lowcountry quail hunt experiences further broaden the unique appeal of the venue.

3-D Archery

Remember childhood summer camps? The folks at The Sporting Club certainly do. Embark on one round of 3-D archery and the memories come rolling back. All the fun, all the challenge, and all the thrills of piercing the bullseye unfold along the course. Be prepared to face ground level and elevated targets representing bears, turkeys, gators, and more. This is fun for all ages and all skill levels. And for those archers feeling a bit rusty, a warm-up range with three individually distanced targets offers guests some practice rounds before hitting the walking course.

Quail Hunt

Experienced guides and disciplined bird dogs accompany each of The Sporting Club’s Lowcountry quail hunts. Trek through the tall, waving grasses of a 500-acre managed wildlife habitat for a traditional experience enjoyed for centuries. Birds are presented post hunt. An annual shooting preserve license is required for each shooter and may be obtained by visiting https://www.dnr.sc.gov/legallicense.html.
