Marsh House: A Favorite for Kiawah Island Club Members
A stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean and the world-renowned Ocean Course, Marsh House proves to be a popular destination for Kiawah Island Club Members. Much like the surrounding homes in Kiawah’s Marsh Walk and Ocean Park neighborhoods, the private community gathering spot has an open and modern design, created to harmonize with its natural surroundings. Walking up its beautiful wooden stairway, your eye is drawn to Kiawah’s vast southeastern marsh. Some of the Island’s most incredible marsh and ocean vistas are enjoyed from its raised deck. Although Marsh House’s style is “updated Southern coastal,” the stunning views are more reminiscent of the Serengeti. With a breadth of amenities to offer, including an infinity pool, grill, lounge, and firepit as well as a variety of indoor and outdoor spots for eating, drinking, and relaxing, it’s no wonder this has been a Member favorite since opening in May 2016.
Welcome to the Club, Welcome to Marsh House
Club manager Kevin Perez gave us the scoop on Marsh House’s food and beverage menu. He says the most popular drink is the White Frozen Sangria, which includes fresh organic peaches, simple syrup, Pinot Grigio, and Malibu Rum. Also a Member favorite, the Blueberry Margarita with fresh blueberries, lime juice, Tequila, Triple Sec, agave nectar, and a blueberry-salted rim. And the Honey Bee is made with organic honey, vanilla, lemon juice, club soda, and Bacardi Rum. We say, yum!
Marsh House serves lunch daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its food menu includes poolside favorites like the Marsh House Burger, the Club Panini with pimento cheese, and the Kiawah Shrimp Salad created by Chef Annette Johnson. Small bites are also available in the evening. In addition to the spectacular views and delicious dining options, the service is impeccable. Three traits found at each one of Kiawah Island Club’s locations.
Discover more about Marsh House, Ocean Park, & Marsh Walk
Marsh House is located in Kiawah’s newest neighborhood, Ocean Park and will serve both Kiawah Island Club Members and Ocean Park property owners –with homeowners in Marsh Walk, a collection of new built-for-you residences adjacent to Marsh House, having the most convenient access. Charlie Arrington and Mark Permar, no strangers to Kiawah’s master design, created the 250-acre development with the idea of establishing a sense of community. The neighborhood’s parkland cultivates connection and immersion within the Ocean Park community. Marsh House is among a few key communal icons in the neighborhood, which also includes a treehouse, bike trails, and a kayak launch.
Club members, Elizabeth and Coleman Benedict have frequented Kiawah with their children for years, and say Marsh House has become their new favorite spot on the Island. “It’s so peaceful, and looking out at the landscape from the infinity pool reminds me of being in Africa – as if a giraffe is going to walk through the grass in the horizon.”
We invite you to gather with family and friends around the firepit on cool evenings and linger in the pool long after dinnertime on those endless summer nights. Escape to Kiawah’s eastern edge.
