Kiawah Island Club’s Third Golf Course

Plans are in place for an 18-hole private golf course to be constructed on Johns Island, directly adjacent to Kiawah. Claiming nearly 300 acres of verdant landscape, the course will boast a design by Beau Welling, nominated for Golf Course Designer of the Year in the 2022 World Golf Awards. His boutique design firm has been recognized for creating thrilling courses dictated by form, function, and sustainability and has been involved in more than 120 golf course and development projects worldwide. Welling’s vision for the upcoming Kiawah Island Club course includes slopes and contours resembling classic courses created 100 years ago.

Welcome to Two Meeting Street Inn

Imagine a day of Kiawah Island golf followed by a stroll through historic Charleston, dinner on King Street, then settling in with lush, overnight accommodations in the city. Thanks to South Street Partners’ latest acquisition, Kiawah Island Club Members will be able to do just that!

Currently under restoration, Two Meeting Street Inn provides an elegant backdrop to exploring the historic charms of Charleston. When completed, Members of the Kiawah Island Club will gain access to this 70,000-square-foot space and its nine beautifully appointed guest rooms. The extraordinary antique hotel is the perfect urban addition to the Club’s wide range of amenities for Members and their families to enjoy.

Coming Soon: The Cape Club

Kiawah’s pristine shoreline will soon be home to an inspired new Member amenity. The upcoming Cape Club will draw inspiration from the extremely popular Beach Club, bringing oceanside indulgence to a spectacular stretch of West Beach. The 1,500-square-foot venue will mirror the first-in-class amenities found throughout the Kiawah Island Club. Here, Members will enjoy excellent service either on the beach, or alongside the refreshing infinity-edge pool. After a day spent riding the waves or working out in the Cape Club’s state-of-the-art fitness centers, wash up in the open-air showers and then settle in for dinner and drinks at the casual bar and grill. Construction has already begun on this magnificent space which is expected to open in 2024.

Groundbreaking Health Care Breaks Ground

World-class health care is coming to Kiawah and Seabrook. The MUSC Health Sea Islands Medical Pavilion has broken ground and construction has begun. When complete, the facility will provide both primary care and life-saving medical treatments for area residents with a free-standing Emergency Room, trauma rooms, fast-track triage, CT scan, radiology, full lab services and a helipad. Kiawah Partners donated the six acres of land at 1884 Seabrook Island Road to introduce close, convenient, and trusted health care to the Sea Island community.

Seafields Takes Shape

Kiawah Island’s first, and only, 62+ Life Plan community is changing the landscape alongside Freshfields Village open-air marketplace. The future site of Seafields at Kiawah Island is being readied for vertical construction, scheduled to begin in October. Already, Seabrook Island Road has been widened to accommodate a turn lane onto the property, and crews intent on raising the site from 6 feet to 18 feet above sea level achieved their goal earlier this summer. As of today, the  timely construction of the future complex is keeping pace with prospective residents’ soaring interest in ownership.
