See How Marsh House Lives up to Expectation

Just a stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean and The Ocean Course, Marsh House proves to be a popular destination for Kiawah Island Club Members. Much like the surrounding homes in Kiawah’s Marsh Walk and Ocean Park neighborhoods, this private community gathering spot has an open and modern design created to harmonize with its natural surroundings — a philosophy the entire Island is committed to. From its beautifully unique architecture to its first-rate amenities, Marsh House is a community favorite that you will surely want to be a part of.

Discover what makes Marsh House part of the Kiawah Island experience, below.

Marsh House Amenities and Recreation

Located on Kiawah’s most eastern edge, this family-friendly retreat sits against a long stretch of beautiful marsh. Don’t be surprised when the serene view pulls you in and leaves you in awe of the Island’s beauty as a whole. Surrounding Marsh House are miles of parkland and bike trails that connect you to the rest of the Island, allowing Members to come and go as they please. In terms of scenery, the best views can be enjoyed from the raised deck and infinity edge pool. Here, you can soak in the sights as you look out beyond the African Savanna-esque marsh to the Atlantic and The Ocean Course in the distance.

Although Marsh House’s design is more modern, the stunning views are reminiscent of the Serengeti. With a breadth of amenities to offer, it’s no wonder this has been a Member favorite since its opening in May of 2016. The infinity pool looks as though it’s spilling out onto the marsh, an effect designed to mirror the surrounding nature. In addition, there is a grill, lounge, firepit, and a variety of indoor and outdoor spots for dining, drinking, and relaxing.

Adjacent to the infinity pool is The Ocean Course, the Island’s PGA-christened golf course. Play a round of golf at this professional-level course and then head over to Marsh House for a post-round bite and refreshing dip in the pool. Imagine spending the morning playing one of the highest ranked courses, and then ending the day poolside with a cocktail in hand. For Kiawah Club Members, this is just another Tuesday.

Marsh House Food and Drink Favorites

No pool day is complete without delicious food and refreshing drinks! As for Marsh House’s menu, Members are able to enjoy a variety of dining and drinking options to select from. A popular drink choice is the Spicy Mary, a bloody mary featuring serrano infused vodka along with fresh serrano peppers. Another Member favorite is the Blueberry Lemonade made with muddled blueberries, blueberry vodka, club soda, and fresh lemonade. We say, yum!

Marsh House serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m, and is closed on Tuesdays. Its food menu includes poolside favorites like the Marsh House Burger, Mahi-Mahi tacos, and the lemon-tarragon Shrimp Roll created by Chef Joe DeLuca. In addition to the spectacular views and delicious dining options, the service is impeccable — three traits you will always find at any one of Kiawah Club’s locations and amenities.

Marsh House Nearby Homes

Marsh House is located within Kiawah’s newest neighborhood, Ocean Park, and will serve both Kiawah Island Club Members and Ocean Park property owners. Below are the Island’s latest communities that include access to Marsh House.

The Marsh Walk Community

Homeowners in Marsh Walk, residences adjacent to Marsh House, have the most convenient access. In this community you will find The Cottages at Marsh Walk, a collection of turn-key homes that provide grand living on a smaller scale. Each residence is just over 1,900 sq. feet — the perfect size to serve as a home base when visiting the Island.

The Ocean Park Community

The Ocean Park Community is beloved for its glorious “wild” feel that showcases the jaw-dropping landscape. In this community, large homesites and native trees are appealing to homeowners looking for their own piece of Kiawah. Waterfront living — whether it be the marsh, river, or sea, frames each home and reveals stunning vistas.

What Residents Have to Say About Marsh House

Charlie Arrington and Mark Permar, no strangers to Kiawah’s master design, created the 250-acre development with the idea of establishing a sense of community. The neighborhood’s parkland cultivates connection and immersion within the Ocean Park community. You will notice Marsh House is among a few key communal icons in the neighborhood, which also includes a whimsical treehouse for children and a kayak launch that provides direct access to the marsh.

Club Members, Elizabeth and Coleman Benedict, have frequented Kiawah with their children for years and say Marsh House has become their new favorite spot on the Island. “It’s so peaceful, and looking out at the landscape from the infinity pool reminds me of being in Africa – as if a giraffe is going to walk through the grass in the horizon.”

Welcome to the Club, Welcome to Marsh House

As a Club Member, access to this amenity is just one perk of many. Club Members also enjoy the privilege to dine at the Island’s two best restaurants — Voysey’s and the B-Liner — private Member events, the newly-renovated Beach Club, and much more.

To get a sense of what life here is like, imagine gathering with family and friends around the firepit on cool evenings and lingering in the pool long after dinner time on those endless summer nights. This is what life on Kiawah is like. To view homes that qualify for a Membership to the Club, view our available listings below.
