Kiawah’s Beach Club Debuts Exciting Renovations

The Island’s treasured Beach Club has undergone a number of changes Kiawah Island Club Members are sure to delight in.

These updates have improved not only the swimming pool and deck areas, but the Club’s food and beverage services as well. Appropriately, these renovations were completed just in time to welcome the warm weather of Spring.

Must-See Improvements

At the suggestion of Club Members, these aesthetic improvements have been made to elevate the Beach Club’s experience and harmonize with the Club’s other amenities and gathering spaces.

Specific renovations have been completed to the following areas:

Swimming Pool

All three swimming pools are no longer concrete and instead have been replaced with an elegant Turkish Shell Stone to provide a more aesthetically-pleasing effect. The pools also feature a new waterline tile design and have been re-plastered to improve the texture and appearance of the pool overall.

Members and guests will also enjoy a newly installed pool chiller, dedicated to keeping the water temperature at a comfortable level during the hot summer months. Most importantly, deck railings have been significantly lowered to maximize the Club’s Ocean views from wherever you’re wading in the pool.

Pool Deck

In addition to the pool area renovations, the deck areas have also gotten a facelift. Lounge seating has been replaced with beautiful new furniture to accommodate more seating. Previous furniture pieces were also replaced with teakwood loungers, double seating loungers, day beds, and Adirondack chairs. On top of these additions, an upgraded audio system has been installed throughout the entire deck area.

Food and Beverage Services

Several enhancements have been administered to provide improved dining experiences at The Beach Club. Members will now have several options to choose from while spending a fun-filled day with family and friends.

A new service counter at The Shack has been added for expedited ordering and additional seating. As of now, food service is also available directly to your pool or beach lounge. All the while, the Gazebo will continue its full-service dining operations as usual.

The Value of Being a Kiawah Island Club Member

Access to The Beach Club is just one of many perks of being a Kiawah Island Club Member.

As an integral part of Kiawah’s community, the Club is one of the best ways to enhance your overall experience on Kiawah Island. Members are granted access to some of the most exclusive social events, fine dining, and yearly activities available on the entire Island.

Social Events

Without a doubt, most Members will agree that the Club is the number-one highlight of their time on Kiawah. Getting involved in social activities and meeting a variety of new people is what makes the Club more than just a gathering place, but a strong community of people.

Private Golf Courses

Some activity perks include access to two private golf courses open only to Club members.

The first course is the River Course, sitting on top of an ancient bluff between the Kiawah River and Bass Pond. While the River Course provides a challenging game, the newly redesigned clubhouse is what brings members together as a community gathering place.

Second is the Cassique Course, inspired by the finest courses spread across Ireland and Scotland. Golfers will enjoy playing greens echoing the famous Carnoustie Golf Links, Ballybunion Courses, along with the Cypress Point Club course of California.

Private Spa

Another Club perk is access to the elegant Sasanqua Spa. The spa was designed to enhance wellness lovers’ connection to the outdoors through natural spa treatments and elevated design.

Restaurants

Those looking for culinary excellence will feast on some of the freshest and most decadent food available to the area. Both the Voyseys and B-Liner restaurants offer unmatched quality in terms of food, service, and atmosphere. James Beard Award winner Tom Colicchio and James Beard Award Semi-Finalist Mike Lata will create a meal not short of a masterpiece that you are unlikely to forget.

These are just a handful of the lavish perks that come with a Kiawah Island Club Membership. Keep in mind, the only way to become a Club Member is by purchasing a qualifying property on the Island.
