Kiawah Island Club Members can ramp up their fitness resolutions with more options than ever before. This year, we’re adding more programs, classes, adventures, and sport activities to find the perfect fit for your fitness regime.

Spring is the perfect season to move more, and these new offerings are sure to help you shake off the winter doldrums. Motivation? Yes, please.

See You at The Pavilion

The Sports Pavilion in Cassique is renowned for its world-class fitness facility. The 9,000-square-foot complex is a gym-goer’s dream with tennis and pickleball courts, swimming complex, expansive fitness center, and a multipurpose room for aerobics, yoga, and other fitness-geared routines. This year, The Sports Pavilion has added new options to ensure your fitness routine keeps you motivated.

Interval training or HIIT (High Intensity Workout Training) is for those who prefer a more varied workout. Think short bursts of intense workouts with recovery between sessions. This brief workout is offered weekly and helps you lose fat, gain muscle, and promote cardio health.

If aerobics are more your style, you’ll love Sweating to the Oldies. You’re bound to hear “Let’s Get Physical,” as you do aerobics, strength training, and stretch your way to a new you.

For those who need a more disciplined fitness class, Boot Camp may be more your speed. Physically and mentally demanding, learn how to test your fitness limits–on every level.

Group competitions have become wildly popular and tennis and pickleball box leagues, tennis and pickleball clinics, cardio tennis, and a revolving roundup of weekly fitness classes are always available.

Off the Beaten Trail, On the Water, and On the Course

Row, row, row your kayak on Tuesday nights beginning in March. These moonlit kayak tours allow up close and personal views of the astonishing natural beauty of the Island. Late March and late May bring fishing fanatics out in full force for tournaments at Rhett’s Bluff.

Yoga in the Park throughout the season encourages kids and families to stretch, connect, and find mindful moments of fun and stillness under oak canopies, while Yoga at the Beach on The Beach Club pool deck is adult-geared, ending the session with a refreshing mimosa. Off-Island excursions such as the Credit One Charleston Open in April on Daniel Island are options for tennis fanatics, and Memorial Day activities include corn hole tournaments and sporting clays.

Throughout the season, racquet sports–tennis, pickleball, and weekly golf competitions, classes, and clinics are readily available at the Club. The choices are plentiful and the fun is limitless. And, did we say golf? Kiawah Island’s award-winning and nationally recognized courses are where friends and their guests gather regularly for friendly games and fierce competitions.

Sign up for skeet shooting at the 800-acre Sporting Club, or join the GoKiawah Boat Club and reserve a Club boat for a waterway romantic getaway with concierge service. Visit Cassique’s Boathouse & Kayak Dock and paddleboat your way along sparkling waterways, converse with the dolphins, and sing with the birds.

Or jog, walk, or cycle through trails winding through maritime forests. Take a long walk along the beach at sunrise or sunset.

Here, the choice is yours and wellness is not only a lifestyle, but an everyday experience.
