Gourmet, Grapes & Giving (Now, that’s a Win-Vin Situation!)
Fabulous food, award-winning wines, and a spirit of giving join forces for the 11th Annual Gourmet & Grapes event at The Sanctuary on Kiawah. The celebration, a fundraiser for MUSC’s Hollings Cancer Center, has been a resounding success since its 2008 inception. In its first decade, the can’t-miss event has raised more than 2.8 million dollars for cancer research and introduced hundreds of attendees to local culinary masterworks and the wine world’s top offerings.
Following a spirited kick-off bourbon and barbecue at Mingo Point, Gourmet & Grapes unfolds through various venues at The Sanctuary Hotel. The weekend’s offerings include an exclusive black tie, masquerade dinner, a fun, informative lunch and wine seminar, the Wine Odyssey Gala, and silent and live auctions. A sumptuous brunch in The Ocean Room closes out the weekend alongside magnificent Atlantic Ocean views.
Over the years, some of the region’s most celebrated chefs have graced the event — and this year, the bar is set extremely high. Award-winning executive chefs from Charleston’s FIG, The Ordinary, Circa 1886, Magnolias, and other esteemed local restaurants will bring their culinary flair to the Island, in pairings with some of the best wines available today.
