Our Team Mike Perkins

Born in Michigan and raised in Upstate South Carolina, Mike has proudly called the Palmetto State home since the early ’90s. His early years were shaped by competitive ice hockey, which took him across the country and eventually to the prestigious South Kent School in Connecticut. But it was his deep love for the Lowcountry that brought him back to Charleston, where he earned a B.A. in Business Administration with a focus on Hospitality and Tourism from the College of Charleston.
After time spent living in Steamboat, Colorado, Mike returned to the Charleston area and launched Palmetto Pride Painting—an exclusive, custom residential re-paint company specializing in high-end homes across the Charleston region. Following the successful sale of his business in 2014, Mike discovered Kiawah Island, drawn by its world-class golf, coastal beauty, and unmatched lifestyle.
His passion for golf led him to Cassique’s bag drop, and through dedication and excellence in service, he rose to become the PGA Head Golf Professional at the renowned River Course—serving the Island’s discerning residents and guests for over seven years.
Now, as a luxury real estate professional, Mike brings a unique insider’s perspective to Kiawah Island. His background in hospitality, golf, and high-end home services allows him to deliver a truly elevated client experience. Whether you’re buying or selling, Mike’s mission is to make the process enjoyable, informed, and tailored to your lifestyle—ensuring each client feels confident and excited about calling the Island home.
Mike enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling, and embracing all that the Lowcountry has to offer with his wife Heather, their daughter Eliza, and their golden retriever Sophie.
