Bob Rummel

“I’m your host. While you’re here, or if you’re considering a visit, I encourage you to call and ask about dining on the Island, Kiawah Island Club life, social and sporting activities, and even where to eat in Charleston! There are so many things to know here. It’s not like anywhere else.”

A native of Wisconsin, Bob Rummel began his real estate career on Kiawah in 1977 after graduating from Western State University in Gunnison, CO and attending law school in Atlanta. With $500 million in closed sales to date, Bob’s love for introducing people from all over the world, and from all walks of life, to the beauty and joys of the Kiawah lifestyle comes naturally.

Bob’s casual approach, accommodating nature, and in-depth knowledge of Kiawah combine to make him a go-to guide and resource for hundreds of buyers, sellers, investors, friends, and VIPs, including Pete and Alice Dye, who rented his home while overseeing the Ocean Course’s construction as it was being built for the 1991 Ryder Cup.

“There’s no need for pressure,” Bob says. “I’m your host. And while you’re here, or if you’re considering a visit, I encourage you to call and ask about dining on the Island, Kiawah Island Club life, social and sporting activities, and even where to eat in Charleston!”

Bob has owned several Kiawah Island properties, and currently keeps three in the Resort’s rental program. His personal historical knowledge and firm grasp on what’s coming in the future are invaluable to buyers and sellers.

“There are so many things to know here. It’s not like anywhere else. We have 23 amazing sales executives and this is all we do. We all work together to make things happen,” says Bob.

Free time finds Bob working on his golf game – he currently has a 13 handicap.
