Only two cottages remain available in Cypress Point: the Showcase Cottage, which has been completed and is open for tours, and a final cottage currently under construction, slated for completion in June 2013.

Building to preserve nature

To protect the magnificent canopy and understory, streets are laid out around trees that were carefully groomed to maximize views. For added privacy, building envelopes are staggered to create the effect of homes tucked into the forest. Under the guidance of the Kiawah Island Natural Habitat Conservancy, a vegetative understory will be planted to enhance the habitat for wildlife. And to ensure minimal waste, great care will be taken to recycle building materials.
